The Michelin Guide's review
This small green and white farmhouse belonged to relatives of Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables. During her childhood years, Lucie stayed here often and used the house as a setting for the novel, which remains one of the most popular children's stories of English literature. Today, Green Gables (refurbished following a fire in 1997) recreates scenes from the novel, including Anne's gabled bedroom.
