The Michelin Guide's review
This church was built in the 14C over the ruins of a pagan temple. A renaissance style porch, adorned with a portal was added to in the 16C. It contains a grandiose polyptych of the Virgins crown attributed to Pietro Ruzzolone (a saint with glasses, bottom right, will amuse fans of anachronisms). The crypt is completely covered in Frecoes illustrating the Passion, the death and the resurrection of Christ.
