This park is the perfect place to get an idea of the ideal of Italian-style gardens: a main axis, an infinite prospect, fountains and fishponds nourished by the Carolingian aqueduct (this pharaonic design by Vanvitelli crosses five mountains and valleys and covers a distance of 40km), groups of sculptures with mythological themes (Diana and Actaeon), a large 78m-high waterfall and a charming landscaped garden created for Mary-Caroline of Austria.
