  The Michelin Guide's review
The construction of this Roman Catholic cathedral began in 1829, the year of the Emancipation Act and ended four years later. The style is late English Gothic. It boasts a remarkable cone-shaped tower, topped by a lantern, and marble monument by John Hogan commemorating Bishop Doyle (1786-1834), a prolific writer on current afairs and politics.
