  The Michelin Guide's review
This polyonal neoclassical building (1830) was said to have been designed by William Morrison to be built in Cork, but the drawings were sent to Carlow by mistake. It is surrounded by impressive railings, with a vast porch and an Ionic portico overlooking a broad flight of stairs divided by a huge terrace.
