The Michelin Guide's review
Although this cathedral was built in the 9C, it has since been destroyed and rebuilt on many occasions. It has nonetheless retained its Lombard campanile whose base contains ancient fragments. In the atrium, you will notice the columns with their lovely Corinthian capitals (3C ). Inside, there is a 13C paschal candelabrum, an Assumption by Francesco Solimena and a beautiful 13C sculpture of a dead Christ.
