The Michelin Guide's review
Inaugurated in 1941, the Australian War Memorial is dedicated to the memory of all those members of the armed forces who gave their lives fighting in wars for the Commonwealth of Australia. Beyond the outside memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier, the inside of the museum deals with the two World Wars and the various conflicts in which the country has been implicated since 1945. It also provides an insight into the humanitarian and peacekeeping operations led by the Australian and New Zealand army corps.
