  The Michelin Guide's review
Although the lively weekly market in Bac Ha, some 20km away, is justly famous, Can Cau's own market has definitely surpassed it. Here, Viets and Hmong people in their colourful costume rub shoulders, as they sell their handmade crafts, alongside Chinese traders selling a range of items including fabrics used by the local minorities to make their costumes. The food stalls here offer an opportunity to taste some of the local dishes, as well as traditional rice and maize liqueurs.
