The Michelin Guide's review
The Sinagua Native Americans who lived in this region from the year 1000 onwards built a village with more than a hundred rooms on this ridge. At its height, Tuzigoot was home to about 200 people but the village was abandoned in the early 15C. A paved trail allows visitors to admire many of the ruined rooms, of which only the foundations remain, and also runs up to the top of the hill offering splendid views of the Verde Valley. There's a small exhibition on the Sinaguas in the Visitor Center.
