The oldest part of the campus and the heart of the university, Harvard Old Yard includes Massachusetts Hall (1720), the oldest Harvard building still standing; Holden Chapel, the university's first chapel; and University Hall (1815), fronted by Daniel Chester French's statue of college founder John Harvard.
