The Michelin Guide's review
Originally built in 1747 and remodelled in the mid-19C, this old Carmelite convent has a formal garden featuring tinajones and little benches. The masterpiece of the church is to the right of the chancel; a holy sepulchre made in 1762 from 20 000 pieces of melted-down silver. Near the altar, steps lead down to the catacombs, a jumble of bones and diverse religious objects. Note the fine tabernacle dating from 1733.
