The Michelin Guide's review
From Cagliari you can reach Muravera by cutting across the island via the Arcu e Tidu Pass, which stands at an altitude of 426m and is approximately 85km long with a detour via Burcei. It is the highest village in the province and renowned for its regional specialities. A little to the west, Monte Serpeddì (1 087m) affords breathtaking views. The SS 125 then heads east into a spectacular landscape of gorges with reddish-coloured walls of porphyritic granite before hitting the Arco dell'Angelo, from where the Rio Cannas stretches out.
