The Michelin Guide's review
Built by Admiral Diego de Barrios at the end of the 17C, the house is a fine example of a Baroque palace. You will notice a feature which is common to this type of palace, namely the pre-eminence given to the doorway carved from Genoese marble, which combines Tuscan columns in the lower register with wreathed columns in the upper.
