Laguna Cabral o Rincón Wildlife Refuge
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The Laguna Cabral o Rincón Wildlife Refuge aims to preserve the country's largest fresh water lagoon (just under 50km2). The lake is home to reptiles (iguanas), huge colonies of resident and migrating birds (pink flamingos, herons, cormorants) and many species of fish. The wealth of vegetation on the shores helps foster biodiversity.
