The Michelin Guide's review
Rich in bird life and within easy reach of Pasco, the pleasant wildlife refuge near the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers takes in a rich variety of habitats-reedy marshlands, groves of cottonwood, sagebrush steppe and even sand dunes. It attracts many different species of waterfowl during the autumn migratory season, and provides a summer home for nesting Canada geese, white pelicans and various ducks.
