Yok Don National Park
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Located along the Cambodian border, this 58 000ha nature reserve is home to over 60 species of mammal (including tigers, leopards and bears), close to 200 species of birds (such as peacocks and hornbills) and 46 types of reptile. Mercifully, in 2018, the park authorities decided to put a stop to the practice of offering elephant rides. Freed from their chains, the three elephants of the park are now enjoying retirement in their natural environment.
