The Michelin Guide's review
Established in the former Post Office (1900) in 1972, this museum has two major historical collections: the lapidarium, with plaster casts of metopes from the famous Trajan's Column in Rome; and the historic treasures, which has 2 000 gold pieces from the Neolithic. Note the "hen with golden chicks", a sumptuous collection of 4C gold objects. Several rooms focus on the history of Romanian postage and philately.
