  The Michelin Guide's review
Victor Hugo called it a "the loveliest square", Jean Cocteau a "rich theatre". The Grand-Place, or Grote Markt, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and quite unique. This steep, cobbled esplanade is the centre of Brussels as well as its most spectacular place to see. It is constantly buzzing with activity and exudes an incomparable atmosphere.
