The Michelin Guide's review
This lovely Flamboyant-style building was originally the chapel of the crossbowmen's guild. Legend has it that in 1348, the pious Beatrice Soetkens brought a statue of the Holy Virgin from Antwerp to Brussels as a gift for the crossbowmen. The chapel became a place of pilgrimage and was extended around 1400 and completed around 1550 with the main portal. Inside, the very slender chancel and high glass canopies are captivating.
