The Michelin Guide's review
This cathedral was built in the Perpendicular Gothic style (14C-15C) with a nave and gemel towers added in 1868-88. Of particular interest is the interior, one of the finest examples of medieval hall-churches in the country. The former Elder Lady Chapel (1210-20) and eastern Lady Chapel (1298-1330) are remarkable, the first for its clear simple lines and the second for its profusion of light and colour.
