King Street
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
At the end nearest the port, this street is lined by 17C pubs and warehouses dating from the 18C and 19C. Also of interest here is the Bristol Old Vic, the oldest theatre still in use in the country. Further on, the Merchant Seamen's Almshouses, built in 1544 and enlarged in 1696, are adorned with colourful coats-of-arms on the outside wall.
