The Michelin Guide's review
With its single 40m-high arch, this extremely robust bridge (1731) spans the River Durance at a height of 56m. It connects Briançon with the Dauphin and Randouillet forts that protect Tête fort. The latter alone, at the heart of Vauban's system of fortifications, is bigger than the old town.
