The Michelin Guide's review
A quick overview of Romanian art. Several rooms depicting the academic period are naturally devoted to Nicolae Grigorescu, father of Romanian art, and his followers (Ion Andreescu, Stefan Luchian). Modern and abstract art are also represented (Pallady, Tonitza, Ion Tuculescu), along with contemporary art (Brasov-born Sever Frentiu). The Applied arts section showcases porcelain and Murano and Bohemian crystal.
