The Michelin Guide's review
The 2.5mi walk, beginning at the 50-acre park, Boston Common, and ending at Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown, takes in most of the emblematic sites related to Boston's 18C and 19C history, particularly those that played major roles in the Revolution. Marked by a painted red line or red bricks embedded in the sidewalk, the trail wends through several distinctive neighborhoods, such as "Old Boston" of Beacon Hill, the dense and bustling Financial District, the Faneuil Hall shopping complex and the twisting streets of Italian North End.
