The Michelin Guide's review
Beacon Hill started off as the district of the Boston Brahmins, as well as that of the city's first community of African Americans. Its provincial atmosphere is in sharp contrast to the noise and bustle of neighbouring districts. On Saturday evenings, it's not unusual to see locals dressed in tuxedos and long dresses heading off to dinner with friends. The elegance of this part of the city is definitely infectious!
