The Michelin Guide's review
Two million hectares of gigantic trees and lush vegetation are home to a multitude of multicoloured birds, butterflies and insects, together with an exceptional variety of mammals. The Parque nacional del Manu, a biosphere sanctuary, provides zones for the indigenous populations where they can live in their natural habitat and migrate with the seasons as they have always done. A visit to the park is however relatively strenuous due to its relative lack of accessibility.
