The Michelin Guide's review
There is a bronze statue of a Gille (carnival figure) at the entrance to the park, which was laid out in the ruins of Mary of Hungary's palace, built by Du Broeucq in 1548. This impressive building, which crowned the ramparts at the southernmost end of Binche, was destroyed in 1554. There are fine views from the top of the ramparts.
