The Michelin Guide's review
The three-story Reid School was considered "a marvel of masonry" when it was built of locally quarried volcanic tuff in 1914. The interesting collection now contained here includes an original classroom restored to its early-20C condition. Also exhibited are a re-created 1898 kitchen; household items including a 1903 Voss washing machine; a two-cylinder, 1907 Holsman motor buggy; early logging items; US Forest Service field equipment; and pioneer history archives.
