The Michelin Guide's review
A late 17C mansion, crowned by a cupola and balustrade with late 18C, neo-Classical modifications by James Wyatt, Belton epitomises the golden age of domestic architecture, from Wren to Adam. The classic simplicity of the Marble Hall provides the setting for paintings by Reynolds, Hoppner and Romney. The Red Drawing Room is graced by a Madonna and Child by Fra Bartolomeo.
