The Michelin Guide's review
Built in the 13C by the powerful Rusca family, this diamond-shaped citadel became the property of the Viscontis in the following century. A drawbridge crosses the moat into the central part, which is surrounded by 14-15C fortifications. The small Archaeolgoical Museum, located in the keep, displays collections from the Bronze Age to the Roman era, while the Museo Civico charts the evolution of the town and its ties with the surrounding region.
