The Michelin Guide's review
This convent of Poor Clares, who included the famous "Portuguese Nun", was founded in 1459 by Ferdinand, duke of Viseu, father of King Manuel. The elegant Gothic balustrade that crowns the church and the cloister resembles that of Batalha Monastery. The convent now houses the Museu Regional da Rainha D. Leonor.
