The Michelin Guide's review
Five pagodas are all that remain of the charming Wuta Temple built by Yongle in the 15C and destroyed in 1927. A forest of sculpted steles, some dating from the Tang dynasty, stand opposite an imposing group of statuettes built along a passageway leading to a burial ground (similar to the Spirit Way leading to Ming tombs). Taken from tombs from various regions in China, they include figures of humans or animals (depending on the social status of the deceased).
