The Michelin Guide's review
This 12C church, Église St Pierre, was a major centre of pilgrimage. The sandstone church illustrates all the architectural influences from the Limousin region and southwest France. Its beauty resides mainly in its magnificent southern portal (12C), one of the earliest masterpieces of Romanesque sculpture. Inside the church, the treasury contains a remarkable 12C Virgin with Child, made of wood covered in silver leaf.
