The boardwalks are lined with the restored buildings of a 19C mining town: stores, hotels, saloons and an assay office of a mining community. Note the unusually shaped timber St. Saviour's Anglican Church, Chinatown with its Chinese Freemasons' Hall and the Theatre Royal, which stages typical Gold Rush-era shows. Interesting videos and displays about Barkerville, the Gold Rush and methods of mining round off the visit.
