The Michelin Guide's review
Consecrated in 1292, the cathedral underwent major modifications in the 16C and particularly in the 18C, when it was given its Baroque decoration. Its pure, Romanesque lines date only from the 1950s. Inside the building, the solemn ambience is accentuated by the elegant ciborium, which stands on the raised transept. Five metres beneath the cathedral, digs have revealed a fascinating network of rooms.
