The Michelin Guide's review
This superb residence, altered in the 15C and 18C, has a number of architectural features that were typical of noble homes in medieval Barcelona, which were inspired by the palaces of Italian traders. The wrought-iron balconies were added after the bare, solemn façade. The central patio, with a staircase that leads to the upper floor, is brightened up by open arcades, decorative moulding and utensils that hark back to the owners' trading past.
