The Michelin Guide's review
A masterful work by Gaudí, this building (1904-06), nicknamed the "House of Bones" or "House of Yawns" on account of its unique bay windows, boasts a façade covered with ceramic disks and coloured glass, as well as an extraordinary fish-scale roof. While the exterior is overpowering in its decoration, the inside continues in the same theme (staircases, wood framing, chimneys, stained glass, and sublime spiral ceiling in the main salon), where everything is designed to create a wonderful world directly inspired by nature.
