The Michelin Guide's review
After the discovery of America, many Catalans went there to make their fortune. Returning to Barcelona these «indianos», now influential figures built themselves magnificent houses. The group of Neo-classical arcaded buildings which he had built today home to a labyrinth of popular shops.
