The Michelin Guide's review
This palace (1549-57) was the residence of the king's "lieutenants", or the viceroys of Catalonia, after the unification of Spain. Its three façades are eminently pared down. The late-Gothic style dominates and there are a few Renaissance features. Take in the lovely patio, which overlooks a Tuscan gallery and an elegant staircase.
