The Michelin Guide's review
This nature reserve covering 5 000ha is home to cliffs indented with delightful creeks, impressive (albeit threatened) marine life and the marshy area at the mouth of the River Barbate. Covered with vegetation typical of the Mediterranean, with a predominance of umbrella pines, it is a refuge for migratory birds crossing the Straits of Gibraltar.
