The Norman keep dominates this castle restored in the Victorian era. It houses a fine collection of weapons and armour from the Tower of London, some delightful pieces of Sèvres, Derby, Worcester and Chelsea china, as well as Flemish tapestries. A number of family portraits are exhibited in what was probably the original guard room.
