Built by Queen Victoria (mid-19C), this castle is the summer residence of the Royal Family. There is an exhibition in the ballroom relating a century of royal life on the banks of the Dee. Few of the rooms are open to the public, and the pieces presented will only satisfy (at a push) those who like to follow the adventures of the Royals.
