The Michelin Guide's review
Bloedel Reserve covers an area of 60ha/148 acres, encompassing meadows, forests and valleys which are typical of the superb northwestern landscapes. The native flora thrives in its own setting, amid deft and subtle landscaping. Trails run through a marsh habitat for migratory and native waterfowl, a wetland forest, a grove of flowering shrubs, a Zen rock garden and a moss garden. The visitor centre is housed in Collinswood, a classic French château-style home built in 1932.
