The Michelin Guide's review
This massive quadrangular villa, built in 1736 by Giuseppe Bonanni Filangeri, Prince of Cattolica, is home to the Museo Guttuso, headquarters of the municipal gallery of modern and contemporary art. The collection includes works by Renato Guttuso and his artist friends. The most outstanding pieces were donated by the painter himself to the town where he was born in 1973. In the garden, note the Camera dello Scirocco (an artificial cave) and the tomb of the artist, which was designed by his friend, Giacomo Manzù.
