The Michelin Guide's review
At the centre of this pretty square is the Fountain of the Lions (Fuente de los Leones), one of the most popular sights in Baeza. Set around the square are the former slaughterhouse and law court, as well as the Villalar Arch, which was erected in memory of Carlos V's victory over the comuneros. The Jaén Gate, a fortification of which little remains today, was raised when the Emperor came to the town. The Casa del Pópulo (People's House) is now home to the tourist office.
