  The Michelin Guide's review
In front of the small monastery on the edge of the valley, a covered wooden bridge spans the gorge of the Gallanda Oya, a river whose waters cascade over the granite blocks below. Built in the 18C, the bridge stands on sturdy stilts; its pink-tiled roof, supported by elegant columns, makes it unique. The shrine, a gift from King Sri Vikrama Rajasinha in the 18C, is a classic example of the Kandyan style.
