Chanthara Kasem Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This museum is hidden behind high walls with white crenellations belonging to an old 17C palace built for King Naresuan. Completely destroyed by the Burmese and then abandoned, the palace was restored by Rama IV, who made it his summer residence. Various buildings are arranged around a courtyard, including the elegant Phiman Rattaya, a blend of Chinese and European architecture, which now houses a collection of porcelain and manuscript cabinets.
