The Michelin Guide's review
The Church of St-Anne was formerly part of a Carmelite convent where Martin Luther found sanctuary in 1518. The church became Protestant in 1525 and the rooms where Martin Luther stayed are today a museum. Note the Fugger Funeral Chapel which is considered to be the first example of the Italian Renaissance in Germany. In the chancel, are three works by Lucas Cranach the Elder.
