The Michelin Guide's review
Established in 1186 but modified in the 14 and 17C, this basilica has modest proportions, a lavish decor with wreathed columns and the pediment of absidioles : the pelican, symbol of the Eucharist, and the phoenix, the symbol of the resurrected Christ, decorated with baroque guilt stucco work. Superb exposed wood-frame ceiling with painted beams, arabesques, and beautiful wrought iron grills.
