The Michelin Guide's review
This is one of Japan's most famous "cherry landscapes". Hundreds of cherry trees, planted along the banks of River Funa, are in full blossom during the first fortnight of April. The high snow-capped Japanese Alps in the background and the colourful patchwork of tulip and rape fields in the foreground paint a stunning picture. Heaven for amateur photographers!
